Cynical as I am --- in a way much different from dear Bernard, though --- I am still a hopeless romantic. This may explain my incapability to say something as wise as this quote, which, in my opinion, applies not only to marriage but to any committed relationship as well.

 

Nothing is more laughable than the pursuit of a target that is destined to be unavailable, and a life-long commitment is of this sort, and probably, also the endeavor to do so on one's own part.

 

I believe the couple I witnessed yesterday is a success story, and I sincerely hope they will always be, though it calls for due attention to distinguish between my belief and my hope. For starters, as I always say, "Things change. People change. I (we) change", after all. And, my pleasure with this success story, on the other hand, reminds me of the sad logic behind my joy: this is just too rare to be true so it is as valuable.

 

Still makeshifts are not for me, as well as making much ado in the attempt to attain a goal of almost zero likelihood. I'd rather have nothing than make do with what's not perfect. Independence is not about choosing what is necessary but what is desirable, because necessity is in other people's eyes while desire is in your blood.

Sitting here, I'm so so so ... aware of my bulgy tummy. It's been more than a month since my last visit to a gym, and this is the payback.

 

!!!PANIC ATTACK!!!

 

This is just ridiculous. A while ago, like one month before, I was pretty satisfied with my fitness as a result of my hard work-outs and the help from my trainer. I won't allow the fat nightmare during my college years to repeat itself. As a most self-absorbed, self-righteous and self-adoring guy, this self-image is just totally not acceptable and degrading.

 

I have texted my trainer. It's time for me to return.

 

Gym, wait for me! Lean muscles, wait for me!

Lazy like me, this blogging fever finally came to grip me. Sharing some sparks of my mind has become appealing to me probably for a part of me is just about showing off, or because as a major in communication, I started believing it can make this world a better place.

 

Life is laughable because people, each one of us including myself, are interesting one way or another. So what's the point of wasting this resourceful of laughters about me, my friends, my family, my acquaintance, and those who I just know or know about.

 

Visitors are terribly welcomed to project the ridicule here onto themselves. At least, you can show a little bit sense of humor by not being or pretending not to be offended.

 

What's more appreciated will be sharing with me about what's laughable about you, your life and things and people you kinda know.

 

So late, it is now. My sloth in nature is getting over me. Nighty night.
